Meet Gonzalo, Founder and Lead Craftsman
Gonzalo has been immersed in construction since his teenage years, starting with a Vocational Tech program for carpentry in high school and quickly developing a lifelong passion for building. After completing his Bachelor’s & Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Gonzalo spent 17 years in New York’s competitive construction industry, even co-owning a successful civil engineering firm where he led large-scale projects with precision and dedication.
Today, Gonzalo brings that same level of commitment and expertise to Carolinas Renovation Experts. As the head of the company, he oversees every detail—from estimating to scheduling—ensuring every project meets his high standards of quality. Gonzalo’s hands-on approach and commitment to client satisfaction make him a trusted partner for homeowners throughout the Charlotte area, as he brings dreams to life with skill, care, and attention to detail.
Meet Ted, Project Manager
With over 45 years of combined experience in public service as a Firefighter and Police Officer, I bring a unique leadership perspective to the construction industry. Throughout my career, I’ve supervised teams under high-pressure situations where attention to detail, clear communication, and getting the job done right the first time weren’t optional — they were essential.
In addition to my service background, I’ve worked across a wide range of construction trades including framing, finish carpentry, low-voltage audio/video systems, and full-scale remodels. I’ve personally renovated every one of my homes and rental properties, giving me hands-on experience and a deep appreciation for quality craftsmanship.
